Isometiric Pixel Art Collaboration - By: Doom
Kingy, the creator of the popular Bunny Kit, has opened up a new collaboration to the pixel artists of Sal's. Unlike previous collaborations that have been hosted, this one is an isometric collaboration. The Isometric Style is different from the classic form of pixel art. In isometric pixel art, one must follow a set perspective as they would in any other pixel, the difference between them is that the perspective for the artist has been set already. In a square, the larger angle must be 120 degrees while the smaller angle must be set at 60 degrees. As you can see in the highlighted area, all straight lines go down one pixel and across two. This way, the angles of the cube will be 60 and 120 degrees.

The end product gives a three dimensional feel. Isometric projection the artist to feature large three dimensional areas more easily. Compare it to something "flatter" such as the piece to the right.
In most group collaborations, one must try and blend their set canvas or space with that of a neighboring artists'. If nobody surrounding you has finished your piece, then you are free to do what you want, even go a little bit onto their canvas - just as long as you don't take up all of it! The collaboration is well on it's way to finishing up so reserve your spots before they're gone! New pixel artists and veterans alike are welcomed to participate in this community project. You can visit this ongoing collaboration here.
