An Interview with Dissentor is carried out by Mrcsupertrain. He also wrote an interview entitled Interview with Cxkslei . Have fun reading these interviews while getting to know a little more about these people.

- Say Topdog, wishing you all a happy holidays

Interview with Yogosun - By: EaSy

For everyone who doesn't know, Yogosun is rank 3 in the Runescape Highscores. He is a famous Runescape player and has been rank 1 when the Hunter skill came out. I now bring you the interview with Yogosun.

How long do you play Runescape each day?

I play around 5 hours on average nowadays. I used to play more.

Do you ever think you will be number one again?

Yes I think I will, but probably only for short moments like when a new skill is released.

Did you ever think you would be third in the high scores?

No, not when I started but a year or 2 ago I think I started to feel that I could get it.

Could you provide as a inventory screen shot of the items your most proud of?

No sorry but you can check my bank video, it's a few months old but it's almost the same as my bank now.

How long have you been in the clan you are currently in?

I joined Monday 3rd March 2003.

Are you annoyed that you trained a hard way most of your levels when now there is lots of faster ways?

No, I feel satisfied with the way I trained smile.gif

If there was anything you could go back and do again what would it be?

Buy a lot of party hats instead of ignoring rares when they were cheap.

Why did you pick the user name Yogosun?

I used to play a game called star craft brood war long ago, and in that game there were a lot of good Koreans. So I thought I would make a name that sounded a bit Asian just for fun smile.gif And after that I just kept using the name.

Do you know any people in real life who play Runescape?

Yes.

How old are you?

20

What were/are your favourite subjects in school?

Math.

What makes RuneScape for you?

Quests, skills and multiplaying.

What is your favorite skill?

Hunter.

Are you in any sort of clan?

Yes, 'the' clan.

What's your favourite activity?

God wars.

How did you discover Runescape?

From a real life friend.

Do you do any other things while playing Runescape? (Homework, watch TV, etc.)

Yes always, tv-series, homework and forums.

What do you normally do in-game?

Train my skills.

What's your favorite mini-game?

I'm not sure, maybe trouble brewing.

Where do you live?

Sweden.

What is something you really want (either in game or IRL)?

Continue to have fun and be excited about stuff.

What is your favorite food?

Lasagna.

Ok, thank you for your time.

No problem, although I only had time for short answers.

Interview with Desireful - By: EaSy

Hello Desireful, so glad you could spare some time for this interview. I would like to start about your real life, do you have any brothers or sisters?

Hi. Yes, I do. I have 1 brother with 2 sisters, all younger than me.

How about any pets?

Sadly, no. I'm allegric to cats, dogs, etc. I really want a dog though.

What year/grade are you in at school?

I'm not quite sure you would call it a "grade" but I'm in college, wishing I was 15.

Are you looking forward to leaving college and getting work?

Uhm, I'm not quite sure. I mean, college is a place where I can see my friends, learn, etc. Once getting a job I would not be able to see them almost everyday. I love talking with my friends. But, I'm hoping to start my own company (somday) and be the top person of it. I always thought that would be cool.

Have you given much thought on what company you would like it to be?

I would like it to be a software based company helping people out. I have a million ideas (no joke) that haven't been invented yet. So, possibly anything that comes to mind.

Well I wish you the best of luck. Is there any jobs you would like to do if your company doesn't work out?

For some reason, working at a mall sounds nice.

What are your opinions about the area you live in?

It's actually quite nice here. Even though our sports teams aren't the best (excluding baseball.) it's still a nice place to live. It's never the same weather in a week. One day it could be snowing, the next it could feel like you're on a beach.

Are you looking forward to Christmas?

Yes, I get to see all of my family! And of course, get and give gifts.

Let's talk about Runescape, what is your combat level at the moment?

Time for the noobiness to begin. Currently my combat level is 61, currently trying to raise it to 75 combat. I'll probably start going to 75 combat when summoning is released because I think it will make it easier.

Are you looking forward to the Summoning skill?

Yes, it sounds pretty interesting. And not just because it's raising the highest combat level to 138. I think it will be easier in some cases to train for people. People like me. tongue.gif

What is the mini-game you enjoy playing the most?

I've only played 2 mini-games. I personally think Castle Wars is better than the Duel Arena because you are fighting with a group, and it's a game I enjoy in real life playing...

Well, except for the killing and stuff. tongue.gif

How long have you been playing Runescape?

Actually you probably do or else you wouldn't be asking.. I've been playing since about 2001. No, I have not been on my current account "Desireful3" the whole time. I've probably had more that 30 accounts. I kept dying with all my stuff! And honestly, I had no idea what to do because there was no tutorial island yet. A few days after I created "Desireful3" tutorial island was released which kind of made me mad.

What's the maximum amount of money you have ever had in Runescape?

250k. Pretty bad, honestly. I don't really spend much time getting money. I just like skilling and combat training. And no I don't sell the items I get. I either drop the items I get, or give them away for free. (To random players).

Well I wish you the best of luck with 75 combat, moving to Sals Realm Of Runescape, do you keep your blog active?

Yes, I try too. I normally post an entry every single day, if not more.

Have you ever had a guide accepted for the website and if so how many?

Yes, I've had guides accepted on to the site. Currently, I have 5 accepted, 4 currently on the site.

How did you think of your online name?

Well. there are several reasons, but I'll tell you the main one. Almost everywhere you sign up they asked for your Desired username. I was just messing around with names and came up with Desireful and still use it today.

Have you ever thought about changing it?

Well, I thought I might try changing it to "iDesire" but I decided against. I may eventually go to "Sir Desy" but I don't know. I might actually change it to my real name "Sean" or "Sir Sean" or something like that.

If you could remove one rule from Sals Realm Of Runescape which one would you remove and why?

If I could remove a rule, I would probably removed all of the Signature and Avatar rules because it would be better to have a bigger avatar or a larger signature, so you would have a better quality signature.

I think that's about it, I hope you enjoyed the interview as much as I did.

Interview with Dissentor - By: Mrcsupertrain

Hello, Dissentor. How are you today?

I'm super, as usual.

That's great to hear. All right, let's begin this interview. People around Sal's Realm know you mainly about your strong religious faith? For those that don't know, what is your religion?

I am a Christian. Non-denominational, of course.

What do you like most about Christianity and being Christian?

I like how it professes love and forgiveness for all, exemplified by Jesus when he came to earth and sacrificed himself so that we may get to know him personally. That and other experiences in my life are what brought me to Christianity after 15 years of apathy, atheism, and agnosticism.

What is the most difficult feature about being Christian?

Not judging others. I know that sinners have no right to judge other sinners, but it's sometimes easy to forget.

What is the most common misconception about Christianity that sometimes annoys you?

That Christians are ignorant, closed-minded people who reject intelligence for blind faith.

How much does your faith mean to you?

I would rather die than renounce it.

What do you think about other people with other religions? Do you have different-religion friends? Would you ever date or marry someone with a different religion that yours?

I have the utmost respect for people of other faiths. I am a strong believer in freedom of religion. I have many friends that are atheist, Buddhist, Muslim, and so on. I would never force any potential future children of mine to follow the Christian faith, but I would be lying if I said I wouldn't be disappointed. As for dating or marrying a non-Christian, I wouldn't. It would hurt something dreadful to not be able to share my one strongest love with the girl I am with.

How did you all create #novus?

Long story short, there was a lot of discontent among the users of the last unofficial IRC channel. Patou, Yuanrang, and I decided to create a new one in an attempt to remedy the situation after internal solutions had failed. When we got together to brainstorm a name, I came up with Novus, which means "new" in Latin.

How active are you on #novus?

I'm very busy these days, so not as much as I used to be.

What goes on in #novus while you're online there?

Why, chatting of course, and the possible trading of contraband!

You've said that there were three founders of #novus. How did it come for there to be five operators on the channel?

It helps to have a few more pairs of eyes when Pat and I are sleeping, and Yuanrang is busy jacking up his car to inspect the chassis!

Let's discuss some of your real activities. What are you involved with in real life?

I'm currently involved, at school, in the chess team, Reach team, philosophy club, Christian fellowship, math tutor program, and the environmental council. Outside of school, fellowship committee and church.

What type of school do you go to?

What type? Well, it's a high school. It's made of brick. There are a few windows. Pirates stole the air-conditioning though.

How did you develop an interest in chess?

My cousin taught me how to play at the age of 7. It was something that earned me accolades once I learned how everything moved and a few tricks. It was a point of pride for me, so I kept at it.

The chess team is considered something relativity nerdy. How do you deal with that common stereotype?

I embrace it!

What is the Reach team?

It has many different names. It's the Canadian version of Academic Team or Quiz Bowl. The full name here in Canada is Reach For The Top, but we refer to it as Reach. It's similar to the game show Jeopardy. We have buzzers and we answer questions in competitions against other schools. It's really quite fun.

What do you do in the philosophy club? What does the overall club do?

The philosophy club embraces Socrates' "True knowledge comes from knowing that you know nothing." I attend to give myself a headache and, occasionally, to present the Christian viewpoint when necessary.

What do you do in the Christian fellowship? What does the overall club do?

It's a place where Christians at school can get to know fellow Christian students and talk and engage in activities with each other. We play games, laugh, discuss life and God, and generally have a good time.

What is it like being a math tutor? Do you ever get the feeling you'll lose your mind or do you find it enjoyable at some points?

I believe that everyone has a few specific gifts that God has given to them and everyone should try and find their own. I think one of mine is teaching. Being a math tutor helps me to refine that gift. It also helps my own mathematical abilities, because explaining a math concept to someone else helps solidify it more firmly in my own mind. Enjoyable? Yes. If I ever lose my mind, it'll be because of philosophy club and not the math tutor program.

What do you do in the Environmental council? What does the overall club do?

We try to raise environmental awareness throughout the school. Encouraging others to recycle, hosting environmentally geared events, and fund raising for organizations such as World Wildlife Fund are just some of the many things that we do. It's a great cause to support.

What do you do for your church? Do you simply attend it or is there a certain service you perform?

I'm on the worship team. I sing and play the drums.

Are we supposed to do the assigned homework daily or can we turn it in sometime next week?

Sometime next month sound okay? I wonder if a sunrise looks better when it isn't a sign that I have only a few hours left to finish an assignment.

An attractive, young female spoke to you over the Internet and gave you the state she lived in, the city, her address, and phone number. What would you do next?

Assume that it was a prank by two bored males also finding ways to procrastinate on their thick pile of homework.

Interview with Cxkslei - By: Mrcsupertrain

Cxkslei was a popular member of Sal's Realm Forums. One day, he told everyone in his blog he was asking for a suspension and was going to leave the forums. This leave was unexpected and confusing to some. After four months of a different lifestyle, an interview was created and discussed with Cxkslei.

Hello Cxkslei. It's great to hear from you again. How are you doing?

Good.

I'm glad to hear that. Let's start off with your departure. After leaving the forums, what were the first few days like?

They were somewhat enjoyable and somewhat boring.

Before you left, what would you have liked to change?

Most of you should know what I wanted to change on the forums. In case you don't know, it was how one subforum always became targeted with a bunch of spam and crap and the other forums were fine. Because of that, the subforum was hardly taken care of.

I'm guessing your main example was RuneScape Suggestions?

Yes.

Who do you remember as a very intellectual, smart member?

I remember more than one: Jamster, heb0, Yuanrang, and Mrcsupertrain. Before someone acts like an idiot, let me say no, I didn't say your name because of this interview.

Who do you remember as a very misinformed, idiotic member?

There were too many to name.

What is something you never told people?

Stop judging the music I listen to by the sound, I enjoy listening to the lyrics.

Is there anything you want to say to anyone (or a group of people in particular)?

Yes, this is addressed to those idiots who already know who I'm referring to: STOP BEING IDIOTS. The End. Seriously, I don't want to offend anyone personally.

Who do you still keep in contact with from the forums?

Nicole, and occasionally, the #novus group.

How did you come up with Cxkslei?

I was trying to come up with something that would be hard for people to remember to prevent hacking.

How do you suggest pronouncing that name?

There is no official pronunciation.

You've disappointed the hearts of millions.

Well, tell them to use their creativity.

Why did you change your display name to Mocking Bird?

I lost a bet.

How did you take the comments from others when they would suggest you as the next Distinguished Member in some of their posts?

People are entitled to their opinions. I just wish they would remember that saying that doesn't help anyone.

It's no surprise that you were a popular, wise, and generally liked member throughout the forums. What finally caused you to leave the forums?

I wanted to be more social and I felt the forums were holding me back.

What is your opinion about online forums?

This is how we fix society's complaints about people being too lazy. We need to get rid of computers, televisions, and videos games. Anyway, some online forums are beneficial while others only harm an individual. It depends on the forum and the individual, though.

To this day, were you right? Were the forums holding you back?

Yes.

Do you ever regret leaving Sal's Realm and/or requesting the suspension?

Sometimes, but for the majority, no.

What were some of your ambitions?

I wanted to enjoy life more.

Are you or were you in any relationships?

Yes.

In the past or the present?

In the past, and I'm going to ask Caitlyn to the Christmas dance.

How is your family? You never seemed to get along with some of them based on your blog entries.

I hate my family. The people I work with are more like a family then my actual family.

How is your school life?

It's fun. Although, if I have a substitute teacher for my last period and we're not doing anything, why the hell do I have to stay?

What type of religious experiences have you had?

I haven't had many.

Were you ever anti-religion?

Yes.

What caused that type of attitude?

The religious radicals and the, "Follow my religion or you will burn in hell" message from every religion were ridiculous. Now, I am deist.

What is your real name?

My name is Dan.

From where are you?

I am from New York.

What is your favorite food?

I like Chinese.

To where would you like to travel?

I would like to go to England or Germany.

If you had one wish, what would it be?

When you tell people what your dream is, you lose all possibilities of it until after it is true.

What have you been doing in your free time?

I've been partying.

How did you find RuneScape?

I don't remember.

Why did you leave RuneScape?

RuneScape had a terrible support system, horrible graphics, no fun, idiots cursing every five seconds, and every other three persons were scammers and/or macroers.

Why did you move to World of Warcraft? Why did you choose World of Warcraft?

World of Warcraft had better graphics and it was easier to use. Besides, someone gave me a month of it free as a gift and it was more enjoyable.

How long did it take for you to start World of Warcraft after quitting RuneScape?

It was only a few days.

Lastly, I want to know one final thing. The big question: how has your social life been / changed since your departure?

Since I left Sal's Realm of RuneScape I became more active in school, enjoy life a lot more and just have a lot more fun. I don't want to feel as if I am putting down Sal's as it does help many people, it is different for everyone. Everyone's life, situations and views on everything are different. It just that I feel a lot freer now, I used to be on the computer almost constantly, now I'm on occasionally. I left you guys with a few ways to contact me so this is for those still with questions after this: AIM: Kingmockingbird - Email: Kingmockingbird@aol.com - Myspace: Link . Add me if you want, just don't request me on facebook.

Life's a lot freer, I'm happier. I don't play any MMORPGs anymore since they are just a waste of money. I've had two girlfriends since leaving. As for now, I'm looking for work to pick up some cash. I need to be able to go out quite a bit more, working summer only sucks so hopefully I'll get hired soon. I've changed completely from a reclusive loner to an extremely social person. Oh yeah, smiley faces are no longer allowed, understood: Link . Finally, I'm a lot more used to doing stupid stuff and just not caring what people think. Lastly, I don't care about it's not polite to curse anymore. Listen up, Free Speech means Free Speech.
