Finally we have an article by Cosmicdude2 about Serena Williams shockingly winning the Australian Open, in Serena Stuns All.

Due to the success of the previous Website Spotlight on Retro Junk, here is another for your reading pleasure. This month, we take a look at the website Urban Dictionary. Don't skip this article thinking that its just another boring dictionary. Its slang dictionary with definitions that were submitted by people like you.
Well to start off Urban Dictionary is not your regular dictionary. Its really what it says it is "Urban" basically meaning slang so its a dictionary of slang words. Now this is especially good for a lot of reasons. If your not up to date on the latest cool words that you here at school. Why not save an embarrassing moment with your friends as they explain the word to you. Just go to urbandictionary.com and type it in and get a definition. Have you ever been on Sal's RuneScape Forum or somewhere surfing the net and see something in like "0mg j00 iz teh l33t" which is "l33t talk" or a internet slang language.
Instead of asking for a translator to spell ever word out for you. Why not just quickly type in those words into the Urban Dictionary and not have to waste time posting. You ever been instant messaging friends then you will get a message such as "nrn" and you have never seen that before. Well instead of asking what does that mean just pop up Urban Dictionary and spear yourself from your friends thinking your not up to date on the times. They don't only have internet talk but they have definitions of slang words, cities and places, stores, regular words, etc. Plus there are funny definitions just for a laugh.
Whats also great about Urban Dictionary is that the definitions are sent in from people like you. You can send you in your definitions if you register. So this all acts almost like a Wikipedia. So all this means that you can get a better understanding of the word since there are more ways people explain it. Then you might think to yourself which one is more correct? Well next to the definition is thumbs up and thumbs down. which displays what the people thought if it. Basically if they think the definition was write or not. This can be a key factor in helping you understand the true reliably of the definition. If the definition is rated to low it will be taken away if the rating is low and it hasn't been taken away its because its a new word.
Urban Dictionary also has some features in it as well. Some of the words words allow the you to press a button that says the word for you. This enables you to say it in public without mispronouncing it. Another feature uses Images to display what it looks like. Also they have the Word of the day and lots of other nice search features and snippets for you to check out on your visit there.
Urban Dictionary is of course not just for slang words but for normal words as well. It has dozens of words being added each day its hard not to come to a place like this.

Naked Brothers Band - By: Richman99
Very recently, the Television Channel, Nickelodeon, showed the public a brand new movie and show! They were called the Naked Brothers Band. The series started out with a movie and now every Saturday Night, their series episodes air. So, did the Naked Brothers Band rock or suck? Keep reading to find out.
Let's talk about the movie. First, you may be wondering why they called it the Naked Brothers Band. The 2 main founders, Alex and Natt Wolf, started the band when they were very young and claimed they were naked when they started it. Later, more members joined the band and they changed the name to the Silver Boulders. Everybody was happy in the band but then all the members started bickering about small matters. The problems became so out of hand that 3 members of the Silver Boulders decided to quit to form a new band, Golden Boulders. Nat, the keyboard player and the lead singer, and his brother Alex,the drummer, became distressed and couldn’t think of anything to do. Then, one day, they met an old friend who can play the guitar dang good and asked him to join the band. They also let a girl join their band as a string player. Now, they changed their band name back to the Naked Brothers Band. Yes, the name is ironic because their is a girl in the band, but nobody cares. NBB went on a tour and met up with the Golden Boulders, who then came to join NBB because apparently, everybody hated the Golden Boulders. They all reunited in the end and started playing together again. Movie over. But, don't you want to know about the series and more?
Well, the music was bad and annoying. The movie gradually became boring in many parts that made me lose interest in the whole movie. The series started off better, but once again, you can't say NBB rock or rule. The series started off with them winning a Rock Music Video Award against Green Day or the All American Rejects... and I doubt they'll ever become good enough to beat them! It isn't logical at all! Some of the stuff Alex says is definetly innapropriate and I wonder why they even let a 7 year old say that? I would have to say the plot is very very weak and their music isn't that good. One reason it isn't good is because a lot of their songs are about dating and I'm not sure if 9 year olds should be dating... and why exactly would a 20 year old be hitting on the main singer? It doesn't make any sense! Now about the music, as said before, they are a rock band but most of their songs are babyish and get very annoying. You can view some of their videos here. Most older people would feel really annoyed because the lead singer, Natt, always seems to change his voice and the whole tune becomes annoying. In one song he keeps singing, " Bum bum bumpa, bump, bump, bumpa," and it gets extremely annoying! You probably can bear it for a couple of minutes, but then it just gets sort of out of hand!

Serena Williams has won the Australian open. After a sensational 63 minutes, Serena Williams finally beat the Russian American top star, Maria Sharapova. Serena won the game with an amazing two straight set win over the 19 year old Russian-American. She won with an amazing score of 6-1 6-2. It is the third time that Williams has won the Australian open; she won twice back in 2003 and 2005. After her win, she immediately erased two injury stricken years for which she was unable to play. As the final point soared into her opposition’s court, she claimed victory. She threw herself down onto the court before bouncing back up and walking over to the support group, before bowing and waving to the crowd. Williams thanked her family and friends, and then broke down in tears, dedicating her win to her late sister, Yetunde Prince who was shot in 2003. "I just loved her so much," She said.
Sharapova said that she'd thought that Williams would make it to the finals. "You can never underestimate her," Sharapova said. "I know a lot of you never expected her to be in the final but I definitely did.” She’s an amazing champion and I look forward to playing her many more times - and winning a few, I hope," she said.
Williams brought an amazing start to the match, when she whacked point after point after point, and only letting Maria gather up one game. She impressively stayed calm in the second set, and finally brought it home 6-1, 6-2.
The pair had previously met in contests as Sharapova had famously defeated Williams at the Wimbeldon Grand final at the age of just 17. Williams had gained $1,281,000 for her win, whilst Sharapova had taken in an extra $640,500.
